The Mining Industry Skills Centre is pleased to announce that a group of high performing apprentices, trainees, trainers and organisations from all over Australia have been selected as finalists for the 2009 Mining Industry Skills Centre Training Awards.
This year, the Mining Industry Skills Centre has selected finalists from all over Australia including New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland. Over the next three weeks the Awards judges will be travelling far and wide to conduct on-site interviews, from which the winners will be chosen.
As the resources industry’s most prestigious training and skilling awards, the Mining Industry Skills Centre’s Training Awards recognise exceptional commitment and outstanding achievement in the industry.
The Mining Industry Skills Centre’s CEO Mr Derek Hunter said that once again, the Skills Centre was overwhelmed by the record number of high-calibre nominations for the Training Awards.
”Each year, we are seeing an increase in the number of high quality entries into our Awards and this year is certainly no exception.”
“This year we have finalists from all over the country including New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland. At the Skills Centre we are proud to see that our Training Awards continue to be representative of the innovative and quality work being undertaken in the industry, nationwide.”
“We are pleased to recognise all the finalists, whether they are apprentices, trainees, trainers, individuals or companies and we look forward to acknowledging their contribution to the resources industry at the Training Awards Dinner,” said Mr Hunter.
Winners will be announced at The 2009 Mining Industry Skills Centre Training Awards Dinner being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on September 25th.
